Increase Hair Volume - Tips for Thicker, Full Hair

Hair without volume looks limp, dry and lifeless. The term "bad hair day" immediately comes to mind. While some are blessed with wonderful, shiny, straight and strong hair, some of us need assisted body to achieve the same style and increase hair volume and thicker hair. Enter hair care products to the rescue.
Since ancient times, hair has been a symbol of beauty for many women (and men). Well maintained hair is sought by most people around the globe.

The good news is that there are many products available in the market today that can help you in your search for healthy hair with more volume. In our age, achieving great volume is no longer rocket science. A few manipulations here and there are all you need - and some well selected hair care products.

We inherit the type of hair we have from our parents. Generally speaking, if your parents had thick hair, then you too will have thick hair. Likewise, if they had thin hair, your hair will also be thin. For people with thin hair, styling products like a mousse or a gel will help give you volume and thickness.

Flat Irons and Curling Irons are perfect if you want to straighten or curl. Before using straightening irons, spray a section first with a little styling spray before applying the iron. Start at the roots going to the ends. If you want curls, curl it first with the iron before applying spray.

Hot oil treatments are helpful. They add moisture, volume, and specific treatments. An instant hot oil treatment is not hard to do. Natural-based oil products are always a good choice like Lavender oil, Jojoba oil, Aloe Vera oil, etc.

Put a small amount of your favorite oil in a glass and heat the glass in a bowl of hot water. After a few minutes, apply and wrap with a warm towel. Shower off and rinse completely and thoroughly after a couple of hours and you've got an instant hot oil treatment!

Leave-on and spray conditioners are common and they can be very beneficial. Applying a small amount will increase the natural volume and keep your locks smelling clean and fresh.

Avoid pulling too tight when making a ponytail. This adds stress and weakness. Avoid vigorous combing - this weakens the base and roots. This also reduces the look of more volume.

A shampoo that adds volume helps infuse moisture and acts to swell the hair follicles giving more volume and body. Care should be given to look for shampoos that do not inadvertently weigh down the hair...obviously, this counteracts the very volume and body you are looking for.

Beautiful, voluminous hair is wanted by everyone. It can be achieved with the right products and the right hairstyle. Shampoos, gels, mousses, oils and other hair care are readily available that will help you in putting that look into your hair.
Stay away from harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients that could rob your hair of nutrients and minerals.
